YLP aims to empower change-makers and support the young women and men to design and implement innovative, impactful, and sustainable development solutions, whether in the form of social enterprises, nonprofits, NGOs, initiatives, or campaigns.
About the Youth Leadership Programme
YLP supports young leaders, social innovators, community changemakers and entrepreneurs in implanting sustainable and impactful solutions in their community. YLP will contribute to the achievement of the SDGs. The theme for YLP is accelerating innovative solutions for sustainable development. YLP will focus on supporting the development of youth’s innovative solutions to addressing sustainable development challenges.
FAQs About the Youth Leadership Programme
- Age between 19 – 29
- Lebanese nationality or registered resident
- Fluency in Arabic language, English is an asset
- Both experienced and inexperienced participants are encouraged to apply
- High motivation and interest in social work and social change
*YLP is an inclusive and supportive community. People with certain disabilities and special needs are encouraged to apply.
By participating in YLP, youth will have the chance to: accelerate implementation of their ideas for social change, develop their leadership potential, develop their skills in various social innovation approaches and methodologies, strengthen their gender sensitive lens and skills, improve their advocacy and presentation skills, and become a member of a dynamic network of young leaders and innovators and a unique family.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation. Distinguished and committed participants will have the chance to attend regional and global workshops, forums and trainings.
Participants are expected to participate in workshops and hand-on activities at least 1 day per week from April till August.

In 2021, YLP7 is planned to be delivered virtually using various online learning and communication tools. In person sessions may happen in case the current situations improved.

During the Youth Leadership Programme, the YLPers are first and foremost introduced to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the 193-member states of the United Nations in 2015. The 2030 Agenda pledges to leave no one behind, by trying to reach those who are furthest behind and the most vulnerable.
